Capable of large stroke

 The MR-1 Pontiac block is manufactured with connecting rod relief incorporated into the bottom of the cylinders as a standard feature.  A 4.75 inch stroke can be achieved with some grinding on the block and a 4.5 inch stroke can be achieved with no modification required.   This holds true even with the use of aluminum rods!
